Vetacare - Dr. Philipp Winkels

Our Max originally comes from Bosnia and we adopted him when he was six months old. At 1 1/2 years old he began to be lame and could barely walk for 15 minutes. Our vet recommended VETACARE to us. Even though the clinic is 60 km away, we made an appointment. Max was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and we were recommended surgery. The treating doctor, Ms. Ramona Pott, explained everything to us in detail at all appointments and answered our questions competently. The operation went well and although the time afterwards was stressful, it was worth it. We are happy that Max can walk so well again. We feel in good hands at the clinic and would definitely recommend it to others. THANKS to the whole team: the reception staff who always greeted us so kindly, Ms. Pott, who looked after us, Dr. Winkels, who took part in the operation 😉 and everyone who works in the background to ensure that our furry friends are well.

It's been a while since I've been there. But the experience was so negative that I'm still annoyed about it to this day. Very impersonal. And not very empathetic. Little attention was paid to the dog itself. I found the vet's behavior towards me almost a bit arrogant. Maybe things have gotten better. From there I drove straight to another veterinary clinic, where my dog is still a patient today and so are the others I have. I'm curious whether my review will even be published. There is at least one that was also rather critical and that they would rather have disappeared.
